Nagle Rice caters for pupils of all abilities. In our school we are strongly committed to providing a service for our students with learning difficulties. The Special Education Department has its own staff and room with the aim of working with individuals and small groups. Pupils are catered for on a withdrawal basis and in small classes.

The Special Tuition department operates as part of Pastoral Care Team within the school.
We are aware that effective whole school planning is essential to ensure that the learning needs of all students are identified, adequately resourced and responded to effectively. The school opened an ASD Unit in August 2014 to cater for students with ASD. The ASD Unit is funded and resourced by the DES.
